The integrated aluminum subframe reduces the body weight and, in combination with our patented rocker bearing with opposing tension elements (also used in a similar form by Daimler-Benz and Scania), ensures maximum off-road capability of the base vehicle; the torsional forces are optimally dissipated when the vehicle frame twists during articulation.
The rocker bearing ensures that the forces caused by the twisting of the chassis are not transferred to the living cabin - and the tension elements prevent the structure from rocking.
This design has great advantages: the living cabin is not exposed to unnecessary forces during off-road driving; stress cracks are avoided, which experience has shown to form over time on the subframe and the cabin in conventional designs.
